It seems the human race is destined to repeat itself! Studying through the Synoptic gospels (as I currently am), I've come to a lesson in cultural differences between the Judeans and Galileans during a particular time period. The two cultures are described as "they believe themselves to be more purely Jewish because few Gentiles lived amonst them in Judea" and "more gentiles lived in Galilee, creating an international flair - more open and friendly".
Guess which region Jesus spent most of his time in?
Fast forward to today!
Indiana? Been hearing the news? Christians don't want to serve "sinners"! Are we really MORE pure? LOL!!! I have to laugh or I might cry!
Where did Jesus spend His time?
Start with the book of Luke. It's pretty clear!
Sometimes I'm very embarassed by my "brothers and sisters".
Challenge for today:
If you are truly sold that Christians should not interact with non-Christians in order to stay "pure", can you back it up with truth? Research it. Read where and how Christ himself spent his days. Challenge yourself to be certain.
