I'm back!

Greetings readers!

I've begun a course requiring a blog!  So, I've decided to revive this one rather than start over!

Interestingly, it seems throughout this journey of classes, I'll be blogging away on different biblical topics but will of course, as my personality tends to do, rant off topic often.

The current course asks my blog to be a discipleship type presentation sharing truths learned from the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke).  Well, discipleship is about "living life"!  Something I used to wonder, "How do I live this busy, mommy/wife/leader/job lifestyle AND put God first?"

It seems a shame more older women aren't imparting this information to the younger....

When I was growing and raising children, trying to love my husband biblically and still maintain a challenging career, most of the older women around me were bickering and speaking ill of their husbands.  One friend and I were vocal of our need for women representing what we felt God wanted for our marriages - harmony, respect and love.

At some point, I observed a beautiful couple, ages in their 70's.  Throughout the years I was blessed to watch them interact, I learned how a joy-filled, loving couple lived.  This couple, while I don't see them often, is on facebook and I continue to learn and grow from their posts!  Recently, they posted stories of their history....such an ecouragement to everyone who reads!

Well...I'll be posting soon!  Gotta get a good grade in my class, right?

Challenge:  If you are married, speak well of your spouse.  If you have children, use positive speech patterns, especially when disciplining.  Don't look down on friends or acquaintances who are different or have chosen differently than you.  Our lives are different, not better or worse!  Each of us has challenges, victories and failures.  Rejoice in God's perfect plans!  Doesn't it read...."For I know the plans I have for YOU......"?
