Not that I really thought we wouldn't be here, but I am glad we are...too much to still be done!
You know, I haven't finished my education, become a grandma, gotten old and sweet with my husband....many things on my "to do list" I'd like to experience. Granted, meeting face to face with the King of Kings will be better and more wonderful than anything I will enjoy on earth, but as long as I'm still here - I can hope for the experiences I may have in this world (because there are no guarantees I really will experience these things).
Live where I am - that's the goal. Hope for the future, live in the present and hold loosely to the past. This is difficult for me and I'm trying daily to stay focused. Contented and satisfied for the moment. No replaying what might have been or laying guilt upon my head by re-living the past. No more.
Nor will I continue to look to the future in such a way that I miss out on the present. Enjoying who I am with, when I am with them and what I am doing. Keeping my hope for what's next while not missing the joy of the moment - that's my goal.
