I just finished Mary Beth Chapman's book, "Choosing to See". WOW! It was like reading my own heart and experience. She wrote perfectly. If you or anyone you know has experienced the death of their child, a young child particularly, this book will help you "see" inside the heart of a parent walking this journey.
While reading the book, I cried, laughed and remembered. It's been a long time since I've actually cried while reading anything. I particularly loved the honesty, hope, anger, and truth as she shares her heart with readers. It is also encouraging to hear how this couple chose to hold fast to each other and to their family rather than allow it to dissolve as so many of us do. In the midst of chaos and disaster, they chose to hold fast allowing each other the freedom to grieve while grieving as a family.
Today's Challenge: Read, "Choosing to See" by Mary Beth Chapman. If you have never walked this journey and I pray you never do, it will offer insight into the heart of those who must walk it.
