Balancing act!

I took my first Hot Yoga class at Full Circle Yoga yesterday.  Hot Yoga, if you are unfamiliar, is yoga in a hot room - approximately 90 degrees.  This class was designed for me - beginner.  It was a lot of fun and I felt great afterward.  There was one move (a tree like pose) in which I was to balance on one leg while placing the other like a triangle.  Needless to say, I merely had my triangle foot on my ankle.  lol....so much for balance!  With practice, it will happen and I will improve, but at this point....balance isn't happening for me.

When it comes to day to day balance as I work, parent, be a wife and more.....it isn't happening either.  It seems one week I'm doing well but it also seems each week there is one area where I drop the ball a bit.  Life is challenging as we work so hard to "do it all".  At the end of the day, my hope is I've spent my time wisely and beneficially for those I love and for myself ultimately honoring God.

We all have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 12 months every year.  Each of us is accountable and responsible for how we choose to spend the time given us.  We are not victims of circumstance because we make decisions about where our time is spent.  Work and sleep take quite a chunk out of each day for all of us.  How do you choose to spend the remainder of your day?

Challenge for Today:  Make a list of the hours you spend doing different things each day.  What does it reveal to you about your priorities?
