Sometimes.......I actually wonder if I will ever really be organized!
You know, the woman who always has her change in the change purse at the grocery line, she easily finds her phone in the "phone pocket" in her purse, and she gladly has all her receipts from every purchase made daily!
I love and admire this woman! Wouldn't it be so wonderful to know where everything is when you need it? To reach for my debit card and, "voila!" it's where it should be! Wow!
It's not that I don't have moments in my life when this happens, it's just that its not sustainable in my life. I do organize my life about every three months, purge my closet, clean out the purse, flush the car of all debris. Alas, I watch the neat and orderly slowly crumble into disarray within a few weeks.
Granted, God created me to be a multi-tasking, get things done, juggle many balls kind of woman! Do I blame Him? Absolutely NOT! Rather, I rejoice He has made me wonderfully! My organizational ability doesn't look the same as some, but it works for me and my current lifestyle. God knew what gifts would be needed in my life to serve Him well.
If I really wanted to pursue changing my current mode of life management, there are classes and many books to help me. Maybe I really don't want to? Ironically, in almost every job I've ever had, my recommendation reads "she's very organized". My strange way of keeping on top of things is working for me!
Challenge: Forgive the next person who takes longer at the checkout line because he/she can't find their payment. (It might be me).
